My work history

Here is just a brief history of my experience in the gardening profession.

After leaving school in 1978, I began to work on the Plymouth city council parks department. I started a four-year apprenticeship, doing some of my training at Bicton College, near Exeter.

The following nine years were spent working on the grass and gardens of Plymouth, I worked up on the Hoe, city centre and all over the city. In 1991 I decided to say goodbye to the parks department, due to the work done by the council workforce was all awarded to a company from Holland, yes Holland, they were called ‘Continental Landscapes', known as ‘krinkels'.

I felt this was a good time for to venture out on my own, and to turn all of my training and experience into running my own business.

So in May 1991 I began trading as ‘Tamerton Garden services', after living in the village of Tamerton Foliot for 30 years, I then built up my business over the following years, until I rebranded my image and trading name in 2002, to my current position.

I hope that this tells you what you need to know about me, should you require my services in the future.
